Breanna Brown

/biography

Stories were of innumerable value to Breanna growing up. Dziga Vertov best exemplifies her vision of the world with his film “Man with a Movie Camera” and book “Kino-eye”. Upon discovering the works of Vertov, she felt that the way she viewed things was a talent, a talent that could be used to create unique and original stories though digital media.

In 2012 she worked with Michael F. Lynch, Ph.D., on an interactive Artificial Intelligence game, writing all of the speech script and behavioral reactions for the A.I. Ivan. She also contributed to a chapter of the book Family, Community, and Higher Education, written by Dr. Toby Jenkins.

In 2013 Breanna completed her bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media, Arts, and Communication at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York. She concentrated in digital storytelling, but worked and gained experienced with 2D & 3D animation, film, communication, writing and designing games, and traditional studio art.

Anna then went on to obtain her M.F.A in Film at Boston University in 2015, with a concentration in Screenwriting. While there she completed four feature films, ranging in genre from Science Fiction and Fantasy to Historical Drama. Breanna also has a Pilot under her belt entitled Garden of Dixie, which follows an imperfect family of a preacher stumbling their way through trials and secrets of life in the south.

Currently, Breanna is following her passion at Oklahoma State University as a video editor on the PBS partnered television program Oklahoma Gardening. She plans to continue following her passion of story telling and art through her career and free lancing, and aims to not only reach the sadistic level of George R. R. Martin, but also the visionary level of Issac Asimov.
